Location: Ink On Mesh, The Heart of Newhaven, Edinburgh
Date/time: 6-9pm, Thursday 12 December
As the nights draw in, join me for some coorie inn crafting – a great opportunity to create a beautiful book for yourself or as a unique Christmas present.
In each workshop I will share my upcycled twist on a different book structure, with plenty of opportunity for you to add your own personal touches. Join me for one workshop as a stand alone or sign up for all three (28 November, 5 & 12 December) for a special discount, more on this here.
- 12 December: Mini Bookbinding – create a number of mini books with decorative exposed stitching, using remnant materials and leather/pleather off cuts. I’ll share a number of decorative stitch and fastening ideas and will help you experiment with different combinations. These make for great Christmas gifts and tree decorations as well as nifty little notebooks. Mulled stuff and mince pies will be provided at this workshop to get you in the festive spirit.
> Following the workshop you will receive video instructions that you can refer back to so you can make more books at home.
Accessibility: the Ink on Mesh studio is up a flight of stairs and isn’t accessible by lift, if this is a problem please get in touch as alternative workshop space on the ground floor is a possibility.
