Location: Anchor Building, The Heart of Newhaven, Edinburgh
Date/time: 6-9pm | Thursday 23 & 30 July
Learn two nifty book structures in this travel themed workshop – one to take on your next adventure and one to keep as a record of your trip.
First up we’ll make a leather or pleather covered A5 refillable travel log, the ideal companion for your next adventure, with removable booklets and pockets, ideal for journalling on the move, keeping your travel documents in order and stashing away papery momentos.
Then we’ll turn our attention to making an accordion spine memory book featuring stitched signatures, pockets, tabs and textured pages – a fun way to transform momentos from a trip or event, such as photos, maps and tickets into unique keepsake.
Bring along paper ephemera from a past trip (you know that stuff you’ve got stashed in a draw that you can’t bring yourself to chuck) or delve into my stash of maps and paper delights to create something that holds meaning for you!
Video instructions will be provided after the workshop so you can continue adding to your books at home.
Tea, coffee and sweet treats included.
