Location: Anchor Building, The Heart of Newhaven, Edinburgh
Date/time: 10.30am-4.30pm | Monday 26 October
In this autumnal themed workshop I will share how to turn small leather offcuts into a back-to-back book with an eye-catching, two colour exposed stitch.
A great project that gives you two books in one with the opportunity to incorporate two contrasting or complimentary themes into the inside decorative pages.
In this workshop there is an invitation to tune into the shifting seasons and create an autumnal inspired book – I will provide a range of papers on this theme for you to choose from and we will also spend some time creating out own decorative papers, using a range of simple (but effective) relief printing techniques with leaves and seed heads gathered from the Heart community garden.
This book works well as a sketchbook, nature journal, spell book and/or notebook and would also make a lovely personalised gift.
In the workshop we will make an A7 size landscape book – all materials, seasonal refreshments and follow up video instructions are included.
Accessibility: the workshop space is on the ground floor with accessible toilet in the adjacent building. If you have access requirements, please get in touch asap so I can support where needed.
