Get to grips with Coptic binding in this creative workshop – a decorative stitch that makes for a great sketchbook, Artists Book, photo album and/or memory book.
This popular bookbinding technique features a hard cover, decorative exposed stitching and exposed spine with lots of opportunity to experiment with colour/pattern combinations on the cover, spine and inside decorative pages.
I will provide a range of remnant materials for you to create two books, one A6 and a smaller A7 book that you can continue at home, you are also welcome to bring your own papers and fabric.
Video instructions will be provided after the workshop. Tea, coffee and sweet treats included.
Accessibility: the workshop space is on the ground floor with accessible toilet in the adjacent building. If you have access requirements, please get in touch asap so I can support where needed.
Booking/cancellation policy: I need a minimum of 6 people to cover costs and go a-head with this workshop, you will be given advanced warning is the class needs to be cancelled and offered the option to transfer your place to a future workshop or receive a refund. Once you have booked a place, if you are no longer able attend you will be given the option to transfer to a future class but a refund will not be possible.
