A great introduction to the wonderfully satisfying (and addictive) craft of bookbinding! Each of the book structures covered in this workshop have their own unique qualities and make for great sketchbooks and journals.
In my video tutorials I walk you through the process of creating an A7 accordion fold book, A5 Japanese stab bound book and an A5 exposed long stitch leather or pleather journal, with lots of ideas on how to add personal touches to give your books their own individual character. Each book you make will be a different size, resulting in a varied collection of sketchbooks that you can return to again and again – a great personal project or gift for a sketching enthusiast.
How this course is taught?
This course is taught via a series of step-by-step video tutorials, accompanied by a downloadable document with links to recommended suppliers, advice on sourcing & prepping materials and info on how to make books of different sizes with the same binding. Bookbinding is an addictive craft, you’ve been warned!
You will have continued access to my video tutorials via a password protected page on my website, which means you can revisit my videos for a reminder of the process whenever you need – I only ask that you please don’t share log in details with friends or third parties, doing so will result in you losing access.
