In this workshop I share how to turn small leather offcuts into a back-to-back book with an eye-catching exposed stitch in two colours.
My step-by-step tutorials share how to securely stitch two pieces of leather (or pleather) together for the cover, guidance on creating a stitch template, incorporating different coloured threads and finish with a handmade button wrap around fastening.
A great project that gives you two books in one with the opportunity to play on this by incorporating two contrasting themes into the inside decorative pages
I developed this project to make use of smaller leather offcuts so if you have smaller bits of leather waiting to become books, this one’s for you!
In my videos I make an A7 size landscape book – I invite you to do the same or experiment with the shape and size using my instructions on how to measure all your materials according to the size of pages you want to include.
A really lovely book with lots of eye-catching details.
