This Book Log kit contains all the materials you need to create a personalised Book Log, featuring a series of specially designed journal pages with prompts to help you review the books you have read. It comes with access to my easy to follow step-by-step videos, which share how to compile, stitch and decorate your Book Log.

This nifty readers companion features an eye-catching Japanese stab zig zag stitch and pocket containing a mini pamphlet stitch book for noting down recommended reads. 

You will have continued access to my tutorial with the login provided so can revisit it to make more books and when inspiration strikes! The two styles of stitched books I teach in the tutorial double up nicely as a notebooks too – just add plain paper and thread.

An optional bookbinding toolkit is available for £18 which includes all the tools required to make your Book Log (minus scissors):

  • Piece of bees wax
  • High quality refillable glue stick
  • Handy drawstring cotton bag to store your tools

*Please note: these tools are high quality and made from sustainable materials where possible, they are an investment and can be reused again and again for future bookbinding projects.

You will need to provide:

  • Scissors
  • Chopping board or cutting mat
  • A small amount of decorative papers for the cover of the book – ideas are given on what can be used in the videos

How is this course taught?

This course is taught via a series of easy to follow step-by-step video tutorials which you will get access to via a link and password included in the kit. You will have continued access, which means you can revisit my videos for a reminder of the process whenever you need – I only ask that you please don’t share log in details with friends or third parties. You will also have access to the private Bookbinding with Cass Facebook page where you can share your Book Log, ask questions and get ideas as you progress through the workshop.

Delivery info

Kits will be posted out on Tuesdays and Thursdays. If you are sending this as a gift there is an option to include a gift note in with the kit at checkout.
