Upcycled Needle Book – online course

In this step-by-step online workshop I share how to make a nifty needle book using a mix of recycled and remnant materials – a great personal project that also makes for a really useful and unique gift!

I’ll take you through how to create a decorative fabric inlay, layered pages and a share a great technique for making buttons out of small scraps of fabric, finished off with a braided closure, thread card and name tag. A downloadable template is also included that you can print out to help measure and cut each element of your needle book.

Because everyone needs a joyful needle book in their life, and if you’re anything like me, I spend way to much time loosing and looking for my bookbinding/embroidery needles! Here’s to getting organised and getting creative in the process!

This project requires easy to source tools and materials, many of which you will likely already have to hand, including: remnant fabrics, leather/pleather offcuts, thread, bookbinding/darning needle, awl or Japanese Screw Punch and scissors – a full kit list is provided upon purchase.
