Layered Cross Stitch Journal
4 July
Get to grips with this eye-catching leather (or pleather) long-stitch binding and have fun picking different coloured threads and decorative papers to give your book it’s own unique character.
This book makes for a great sketchbook, notebook or journal and can be easily purchased if giving as a gift.
We will create an A6 portrait book in this class but I will share how to scale up and down should you want to create the same style of book in different shapes and sizes at home.

Hemp Leaf Binding
18 July
Create a hardcover hinged book with an intricate Japanese stab stitch – a nifty way of stitching single sheets together and a great book structure to master! In this class I will share my technique for incorporating remnant material into the cover and there will also be an opportunity to include decorative pages on the inside of your book.
We will create a book roughly 26.5 x 10.5cm in class but I will share how to scale up and down should you want to create the same style of book in different shapes and sizes at home.

French Link Stitch Binding
1 August
Create a most satisfying hardback book with exposed French link stitch binding, incorporating multiple ribbons into the spine and remnant fabric or paper into the cover. This book opens up nice and flat making for a great sketchbook or journal, with lots of opportunity to personalise.
In class we will make an A6 size landscape or portrait book but I will share how to scale up and down should you want to create the same style of book in different shapes and sizes at home.
